Natasha Soto is a writer and occasional illustrator. She was born in Brooklyn, NY, and is now based in Edinburgh, Scotland. She received her MFA in Creative Writing from Rutgers University-Camden, where she also taught critical and creative writing courses. Her poetry, prose, and illustrations have been published in Letters Journal, Rejoinder Journal, Starlight Magazine, and elsewhere.

First Person Bio

Natasha Soto is a writer and artist from New York City, currently based in Edinburgh, Scotland. Her work often revolves around nature, culture, and magic. She writes a weekly newsletter called Magical Meanderings.  

She received her MFA in Creative Writing from Rutgers University-Camden, where she taught critical and creative writing classes. In 2023, she was an artist-in-residence at Gullkistan Center of Creativity in Iceland. She has been shortlisted for the Brooklyn Nonfiction Prize, Miami Emerging Writer Fellowship, and the Fulbright and National Geographic Storytelling competition.  

A lover of all things metaphysical, Natasha has studied astrology at the Faculty of Astrological Studies in the UK and teaches occasional courses about astrology, tarot, and witchcraft.
