Mark Doyle is a professor of history at Middle Tennessee State University. His fiction has appeared in Salamander, Pithead Chapel, Swing, and elsewhere. He is the author of several books on Irish, British Empire, and music history. His most recent book is a contribution to Bloomsbury’s 33 1/3 series (short books about albums) on John Cale’s album Paris 1919.
