We Had Faces is a dedicated space to be absorbed in small moments, minute details, and the feeling of actually being somewhere. We publish stories and art from people with a profound affection for the seemingly ordinary. People finding the charm in everyday life, or interstitial moments, or even the details of remarkable ones. We’re on a relentless quest to rescue our attentions and imaginations. 

With that attentiveness, we hope to raise questions about accepted rules, the way things are supposedly done, and about how we, as individuals, might change them. We observe, we ask a lot of questions, we stay for the whole party. We'll read to the end.

We're very open-minded and accept mixed media pitches, as long as they capture the thematic spirit of attentiveness.
