We are Shiv Nadar University's student-run literary magazine. Always looking to publish fresh creative work from emerging and seasoned writers! 

The Freewheeler is a student run magazine. We are always looking for innovative writing, especially from young writers. We are open for submissions once a year, with themed and open submission calls. We welcome poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction and anything in-between. Anybody over the age of 16 is invited to submit.

The Freewheeler

Please send us creative nonfiction between 1000 and 2500 words. We accept multiple submissions at once. Send us as many pieces as you like. 

We have an optional theme for each magazine. This year's theme is subversions. If you happen to have work that fits this theme, or want to write something that flips, twists, breaks or reimagines the familiar - be our guest. However, if you have work that does not fit this theme, send it to us anyway!


The Freewheeler - subversions - creative nonfiction

Please send us poems that are a maximum of twenty lines. We accept multiple submissions at once. Send us as many poems as you like. We are open to prose poems, lyric essays, and anything else that is in-between forms. 

We have an optional theme for each magazine. This year's theme is subversions. If you happen to have work that fits this theme, or want to write something that flips, twists, breaks or reimagines the familiar - be our guest. However, if you have work that does not fit this theme, send it to us anyway!

Please send us fiction that is a maximum of 2500 words. We are open to flash fiction, plays, scripts, experimental writing - any fiction that adheres to the word count. We accept multiple submissions at once. Send us as many pieces as you like.
