Sagebrush was established with the purpose of fostering the creative writing and art community at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). Sagebrush also facilitates the production of an annual printed journal of literature and art. Sagebrush is student-run.

Submissions are free for university students at any level. Submissions are also free for UTSA alumni. Copies. We offer compensation to writers and artists that we choose to include in our yearly print anthology in the form of a free contributor’s copy that we will mail to you. (We are able to mail the free contributor’s copy within the continental U.S.)
