Pearl Press is a one woman show. I check and select submissions, send out emails, work the social channels, create the issues both on the website and PDFs, and run Zoom lectures. I also come from a creative background in photography and writing which is why the focus lies there! 

Open calls release on the Instagram page first as well as any promotional posts. Issues live on the website and in downloadable PDFs also found on the site. I love receiving emails with work even if it is outside of the open call in order for me to keep it on hand!

Issue No. 23

General call

 The next issue of Pearl Press will feature only one photographer OR a collaboration between two! Send in 20-30 pieces with a one page bio and description of your work. There is no concept to adhere to. You will also have an interview within the issue and promotion of your work on Instagram. Use this as an opportunity to send in a body of work you’re proud of OR a collaborative body of work with another photographer. In the case of two photographers sending in a project, you will both be interviewed for the issue.
