Cover letter
Include a 50-word biography which will be featured at the end of the issue. If you want to send a 150-200 word cover letter, I’d be delighted to read it, but it’s not required and won’t affect my opinion of your work. It can expand on your themes and interests, which may add context to the work. It's also nice to hear opinions on published pieces and the magazine as a whole.

Formatting
It varies, but as a rule, Send via Word doc or .docx; I'm using an editing app to check grammar/spelling, so please specify if your work purposefully avoids specific grammar/spelling rules. Times New Roman, 12pt, 1.5 spacing. Check our submission guidelines on the website for more specifics.
Author's rights
The Author grants the Publisher first British rights and first electronic rights to the work specified below, after the publication the rights will revert to the author. (pieces previously pulished on personal websites and social media are fine, this is to ensure that we are not in breach of copyright for other institutions or publications, if you cannot guarantee first rights we need to be informed and given outlines for credit to original publication) The author confirms that all publications that have received simultaneous submissions of the piece have been notified that the piece has been accepted and will be published in our next issue. The Publisher agrees to forward to the Author in a timely fashion all requests for anthology rights to the work.
