      Please include a cover letter and a short third-person writer's biography in the body of the email that will be published alongside your work if accepted. Please list the titles of your pieces in the cover letter, but it can be a short message. If applicable, include any necessary content warnings for your submissions.

    • Formatting

      Since we read all submissions blind, please remove any identifying information (such as your name or contact info) from your submitted documents. Submitted files should be formatted as PDF or Word/.doc(x).

    • Author's rights

      ​Upon acceptance, you agree to grant Heimat Review first North American serial and electronic rights. Following publication, all rights return back to you. ​

    • Additional info

      We recommend that you read through our past issues to get a sense of what we like and have recently published. Author Bios & Rights: Contributor biographies will be published along with your work, and we also would like to individually celebrate our contributors on Twitter, Threads, and Instagram if you have them! We will start highlighting a piece a day after the issue is published. We want you to be proud of the work that you've done and be sure that others can celebrate with you too. ​Upon acceptance, you agree to grant Heimat Review first North American serial and electronic rights. Following publication, all rights return back to you.
