Feign is an online literary magazine for fiction that publishes original work by emerging & established writers every 7th & 21st of the month. Feign seeks stories that entertain, surprise, and devastate. Feign wants stories that are inventive, some may even arrive with their cards face down. Imaginative stories, ones that hurt like nearly drawing that royal flush.  Stories that make us go all in, leaving us either gutted by a lost chance or soaring with luck. They may bluff to throw us off, but ultimately through the pretense, we see the joker’s heart.

Feign Literary Magazine presents the 2025 REIGN Prize for excellence in fiction. Feign seeks short story submissions up to 7500 words. Submissions will be accepted starting May 1st and will close on June 30th. 

This year's Guest Judge is Amy DeBellis. Amy DeBellis is a writer from New York and the author of the novel ALL OUR TOMORROWS (CLASH Books). Her writing has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize and Best of the Net, has appeared in the Wigleaf Top 50 Longlist, and can be found in X-R-A-Y, Uncharted, Write or Die, Monkeybicycle, Vol. 1 Brooklyn, and elsewhere.
