We only publish works from BIPOC artists and writers, with special preference given to people of African Heritage. Within this marginalized group, we also accept submissions from LGBTQ+ creators, people with disabilities, and any other marginalized fraction.Formatting
Text submissions must be sent as either .doc, .docx, or .rtf files. Font size 12, Times New Roman font. Double spaced for prose and single spaced for poetry, with 1" margins on all sides.
Author's rights
Akéwì asks for first time publisher rights. Once your work is published on Akéwì, you are free to use it a you please but we request that you quote Akéwì Magazine as the first publisher of the piece if it appears elsewhere.
