Starting a podcast can be a daunting task, but this five-week class will save you time, money, headaches, and answer all your burning questions.
Award-winning audio producer, writer, and podcaster Courtney Kocak is going to help you refine your concept and get started from recording to editing. If you have an existing podcast, but you're struggling to gain traction, this course will help you take it to the next level. Doing all the homework will be the perfect kickstart to your podcast.
You'll leave with a trailer, marketing/launch plan, some potential collaborators, and more.
What you will learn
Courtney will start with the 411 about creating high-quality content before diving into best practices for the various stages of production. You’ll get hands-on practice in recording, editing, and marketing through the homework assignments.

About the instructor
Courtney Kocak is a writer, podcaster, and comedian based in Los Angeles. She wrote for Amazon’s Emmy-winning animated series Danger & Eggs and Netflix’s Know It All podcast. She’s produced a slew of highly-ranked podcasts—including The Bellas Podcast, which debuted at #1 on Apple Podcasts, PayPal’s Never Stand Still, and Girlboss Radio—and currently hosts three of her own with over 2 million downloads to date: Private Parts Unknown, about love and sexuality around the world, The Bleeders, about book writing and publishing, and Podcast Bestie, a best friend to podcasters trying to grow and monetize their shows (and a popular Substack). As a writer, her bylines include The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times, Cosmopolitan, BUST, Bustle, InsideHook, and more. Courtney reports on gender, sexuality, psychedelics, reproductive rights, sex work, and sustainability. She’s currently working on a coming-of-age memoir in essays.
